The spectacular horse Galileo sired our December 21, 2018 Trivia horse in 2014. The February foal in Ireland undoubtedly had some influence on her name—Winter. The impressive grey filly won four of European major races as a 3-year-old ---the 1000 Guineas, Irish 1000 Guineas, the Coronation Stakes and the Nassau Stakes. She had two trainers in her career, David Watchman and Aidan O’Brien. She finished her career in 2017 in 9th in the Prix De l’ Arch de Triomphe (GI) behind Enable. Now retired to mare duty, she raced 10 times in her career amassing five wins, two seconds and two thirds. Her only time out of the money was in the 2017 Arc. This is a fitting Trivia question to be asked on the first day of Winter.
