CAN YOU NAME A HORSE THAT HAS WON THE BEVERLY D STAKES (GI) MORE THAN ONCE?

The Beverly D Stakes (GI) is a prestigious race for fillies and mare 13-year-olds and up. It is run on the same card as the Arlington Million, as signature races for that track, Arlington International Race Course. It was first run in 1987. This year will be the 30TH time it has been run. The three years it was not run were 1988, 1998 and 1999 because of renovation of Arlington. In these 30 years Chad Brown has won the race 5 times. Jockey Kent Desormeaux has won it 3 times. However, no horse has won the race more than once. However, that could change this year. The favorite in the race is Sistercharlie who won it last year. She is the real deal when it comes to fillies/mares on the turf. In 2018 she won the Diana Stakes at Saratoga, the Beverly D Stakes at Arlington and the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. So far this she has a repeat win the Diana Stakes (GI) with her target to win both the Beverly D this weekend and the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf in November at Santa Anita.
