WHAT HORSE IN THE 2020 BREEDERS' CUP CLASSIC WAS SIRED BY A BREEDERS' CUP CLASSIC WINNER AND FROM A DAM SIRED BY ANOTHER CLASSIC WINNER?

The field for the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Classic is packed with top level horses. However, only one was sired by a Breeders’ Cup winner and from a dam sired by another Breeders’ Cup winner. With both sides screaming distance one might expect the horse to be one of the favorites. He is not. In fact, he is a Morning Line long shot. He finished his 3-year-old year with 3 wins out of 5 attempts. As a 4-year-old he has 3 wins in 4 attempts, two of which were in graded races. His final race before the Classic was the Woodward Stakes (GI) at Saratoga where he took the field wire-to-wire. With two months rest this son of Curlin (2007 Classic) and a dam sired by A. P. Indy ( 1992 Classic), seems ready. Whether he will live up to his pedigree’s fame and add a Classic to the lineage will be determined this year. The horse is Global Campaign, trained by Stanley Hough and ridden by Javier Castellano.
