WHAT WAS THE LAST TRACK IN NORTH AMERICA TO BROADCAST RACES THROUGH ITS PA SYSTEM?
10/8/2021

Most fans can name their track’s race caller. Names like Tom Durkin and Larry Collmus are familiar to many. Both called races for the New York Racing Association. Watch a race live and hearing the call is common to most fans today. That is not so for fans at Keeneland prior to 1997. Keeneland, a racing traditionalist, held off calling races through their public address system for more than 6 decades. Now like every other track in North American fans can hear races called live.
