WHO IS THE ONLY 3-YEAR-OLD HORSE TO WIN THE MONMOUTH STAKES?
5/24/2019

The Monmouth Stakes (G2T) is run this weekend at Monmouth Park. It is one of four stakes races run this Saturday and one of two graded stakes races run on Saturday. Although not their first weekend of racing, it is one of their big kick-off days for their summer racing program. The Monmouth Stakes (G2T) was first run in 2008 in September. It is a race for 3-year-olds and up. However, only one winner in the eleven years the race has been run has been a 3-year-old. It happened in its inaugural year when Big Brown won it. He was ridden by Kent Desormeaux and trained by Richard Dutrow.
