WHAT HORSE HOLDS BOTH THE TRACK AND STAKES SPEED RECORD FOR THE WOODBINE MILE?
9/18/2020

The Woodbine Mile (GI) is one of the most prestigious turf races run in North America. It is run this weekend. Horses like Skip Away and Court Vision are among the winners. However, the only horse to win the race twice was Wise Dan who did it in back-to-back years (2012 and 2013). The first year he did it at the age of 5 and then again at the age of 6. Both times he was piloted by John Velazquez. It was in his second try in 2013 that he set both the stakes and track record at one minute and thirty-one and ¾ seconds. This year seems to have a few speedsters in the race. But will anyone of the eight horses including one mare be able to break Wise Dan’s record?
