 Few racetracks in the United States display the beauty of Thoroughbred racing like Keeneland Race Course. The track located in Lexington, Kentucky holds high prestige for most racing fans. If you have never attended a race at Keeneland it needs to be top on your racing “Bucket List”. This well maintained and preserved track creates the feeling of going racing in the 1930s. Although easy access from major highways, the track is nestled in the heart of blue grass county surround by iconic racing farms. One is known world-wide for its red and white fence colors. The farm has had many owners most affiliated with the Wright family. It has raced many famous horses including Whirlaway, Coaltown, Davona Dale and Aydar. Six have won the Blue Grass Stakes ---Bull Lea (1938), Ocean Wave (1943), Faultless (1947), Coaltown (1948), Forward Pass (1968) and Alydar (1978). With these wins Calumet Farm holds the title of the farm/owner that has won the Blue Grass Stakes the most times --six.
