WHAT TRAINER WITH A WIN IN THE 2021 COTILLION STAKES (GI) WILL SET THE RECORD FOR THE MOST WINS IN THAT RACE?

Parx Racetrack hosts it biggest day of racing this Saturday. Headlining the card is the Pennsylvania Derby, the 12th race. But the race before showcases some of the best 3-year-old fillies in racing. The race is the Cotillion Stakes (GI). Fillies like Havre de Grace, Shuvee and Songbird have had their pictures taken in the Winner’s Circle. This year the field is very competitive. The record for most wins in the Cotillion Stakes (GI) by a trainer is on the line. Currently two trainers are tied with three wins each –Todd Pletcher and Steve Asmussen. Asmussen has won it with Miss Aurelia (2012), Untapable (2014) and Midnight Bisou (2018). This year he saddles the Morning Line favorite, Clairiere. If she wins, she will give Asmussen the record for the most wins in the Cotillion Stakes (GI) at 4.
