Ritvo and Bredar Join Lineup for ThoroFan Annual Awards Breakfast.
Two leading personalities in the thoroughbred horse racing industry will join an already outstanding lineup of speakers at the 2015 ThoroFan Annual Awards Breakfast on January 16 at Gulfstream Park.
Famed trainer and record-setting horsewoman, Kathy Ritvo, will be the event’s Keynote Speaker. Ritvo is a successful, veteran trainer who entered the national spotlight when she trained Mucho Macho Man to win the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Classic. Kathy Ritvo will be discussing her life and special relationship with horses.
HRTV Correspondent Caton Bredar will assume Master of Ceremony duties for the event. Bredar is a lifelong member of the horse racing industry. She started her career in the Arlington International Race Track communications department and evolved her career to include consistent and comprehensive reporting and handicapping for HRTV.
“We are so honored to have such talented members of our industry agree to be part of our program,” said Michael Amo, Chairman of ThoroFan. “Our event agenda, already has great components, has just gotten even better!”
The breakfast, which is an official part of Eclipse Week activities, is a national opportunity to recognize then role of fans in the sport. The morning program is centered on the ThoroFan Award, which this year will be given to Michael Blowen, President and Founder of Old Friends. In addition, the NTRA will unveil the Moment of the Year award, and Horse Racing Nation will announce and honor its Fans of the Year.

ThoroFan is a national, non-profit (501(c )(3)) Thoroughbred Racing Fan Association which seeks to be a voice for fans while enriching the fan experience for new and existing fans.
